James "Jim" Leroy Martin born 23 February 1926 in California, the youngest child and only son of John Henry Martin and Lewetta M. (Gibbs) Martin.

Jim is a grandson of James Frederick Martin and Eliza Jane (Lowmiller) Flank Martin.

James had two older sisters, Grace Pauline Martin (born 22 July 1919 in California) and Violet Mary Martin (born 30 October 1921 in California). Unfortunately, Violet died at 14-years of age in California, on 08 February 1936.

James' mother died even sooner than Violet, so James' father remarried to Sadie Striker when James was 2 1/2 years old, on 18 October 1928 in Los Angeles County, California.

James "Jim" Leroy Martin married Naomi Dorothy Dreurey (who was born 27 January 1928).

James "Jim" Leroy Martin and Naomi Dorothy (Dreurey) Martin had three children:


• Kathleen Merle Martin (born 19 March 1948.)
  Kathleen Merle Martin married Tom La Berteaux (who was born 06 July 1944), and they have three children:
  • Robert La Berteaux (born 22 March 1972)
  • Brian La Berteaux (born 27 March 1978)
  • Roger La Berteaux (born 26 May 1983)
• Linda Diane Martin (born 15 March 1950.)
  Linda Diane Martin married Dave Lindbloom (born 24 June 1945), and they have two children:
  • Christine Lindbloom (born 01 November 1971)
  • Kelly Lindbloom (born 01 July 1975)
• John Richard Martin (born 12 June 1951.)
  John Richard Martin married Cathy Winder (born 02 November 1954), and they have one child:
  • Nathan Martin (born 30 May 1988)
